Our Miracle Baby

✨👶Liam: Our Miracle Baby ✨👶

William Greene Sullivan aka Liam DOB 12-21-2016

Liam @ 9 months

In the summer of 2017, at the age of 38, my husband Chris and I received the most wonderful surprise—we were expecting our fourth child! After raising three beautiful children, we were overjoyed to be blessed with another addition to our family. But little did we know, our journey with Liam would be nothing short of a miracle.

The Pregnancy Challenge: A Scary Diagnosis 😔

Everything seemed to be progressing normally at first. We were so happy to have a healthy pregnancy and excitedly shared the news with our family and friends. But around the third month, everything changed. I was diagnosed with two serious conditions: subchorionic hematoma and placenta previa. Both conditions put both Liam and me in a dangerous position.

A subchorionic hematoma is essentially a blood clot between the placenta and the uterine wall, and placenta previa means the placenta was covering the cervix, which can lead to complications. My doctor warned us that we had to be extremely careful, and so I went on strict bedrest for three months.

During those months, I clung to the promises of scripture, especially Psalm 139:13-14: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” It gave me peace knowing that Liam’s life was in God’s hands, that He had known Liam from the very beginning and had a plan for him.

Three Months of Bedrest 🛏️

Those months of bedrest were difficult. I had to lie down constantly, focusing entirely on healing and protecting Liam. Our three children didn’t fully understand why I had to rest so much, and my students at school were equally confused. It was hard to explain why it was dangerous for me to do normal things.

But through prayer, rest, and the grace of God, the subchorionic hematoma and placenta previa healed themselves. Jeremiah 30:17: “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,” became my anchor. By the time I reached the later stages of pregnancy, both conditions had resolved.

The Power of Faith and Healing 🙏

Liam’s pregnancy was a constant reminder of God’s presence and the power of faith. During those months, Chris and I never lost hope, even though fear tried to creep in. We believed that Liam was destined to join our family, and we prayed daily for strength and healing. Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” God answered our prayers, and our miracle baby arrived healthy and strong.

Liam @ 3-years-old

Liam is a living testimony to God’s faithfulness. Every time I look at him, I remember the journey we walked and how blessed we are that he made it through safely.

A Joyful Addition to Our Family 💙

Liam has brought so much joy and laughter into our lives. He’s now playing rec football and enjoying every minute of learning the game 🏈.

Liam #12 The Chargers @ The Bleckley County Recreational Department

He loves playing the drums 🥁 and often beatboxes while singing his own made-up songs. His imagination knows no bounds—whether he’s on the farm helping out or making up vivid stories, Liam’s creativity shines through whenever someone is willing to listen 🎤🎨.

He is a boy full of life, energy, and curiosity, and I am constantly in awe of the way God has shaped him. Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you,” perfectly sums up the peace and gratitude we feel as we watch Liam grow and thrive.

The Miracle of Liam’s Life

From a challenging pregnancy to now seeing Liam flourish in everything he does, I am forever thankful to God for carrying us through. To any mother walking a similar path, I encourage you to hold on to hope and trust in God’s timing. Miracles happen every day, and Liam is living proof of that.

Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” 🙏
