Recently, Chris and the team at S & S Fab and Welding, LLC took on an exciting project at Dexter Gin in Dexter, Georgia. The job required precision, teamwork, and the skilled use of heavy equipment—just the type of challenge our team thrives on! The image above showcases the detailed work involved, as team members used a crane to carefully remove the old equipment.

Removing the Old Cotton Mote Baling Press 💪

One of the primary tasks was the removal of the old Cotton Mote Baling Press. This equipment had been in place for years and needed to be replaced to keep operations running efficiently. Our team worked diligently to ensure the old baling press was safely removed and prepared the site for any new installations.

Using the Crane to Remove the Old Cyclone 🚧

In addition to removing the baling press, the team used a crane to remove the old cyclone, a vital piece of equipment that helps separate materials during the ginning process. This part of the job was particularly challenging, as it required not only the use of heavy machinery but also careful maneuvering to prevent any damage. The photo above gives a glimpse of the process as the crane hoisted the large equipment from the building.
