Revamping “An Old Homeplace”

So, I have scanned some of my grandmother’s pictures of our family farm in Roddy. I may no longer have permission to step foot on the property that built me, but I have the pictures, the poems, and the memories. No one can ever take that from me. Not one greedy, vindictive soul can have those things because they will forever belong to me. I am working on incorporating the photographs with the poems. I am really loving this second edition to my book of poetry.

I am an English teacher, mother, and wife, but I love to write. I feel that I am blessed to be able to use my talent to write about my children's books, poems, short fiction, and parenting. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about my experiences with beginning a writing career while focusing on my children and my job. I look forward to comments and to hear from my readers!
