The Morning Breaks: A Call to Repentance and Truth

A Prophetic Word for the Corporate and the Individual

by Jennifer Greene-Sullivan

Introduction

As followers of Christ, we are often called to listen to His voice and heed His guidance, especially when it comes to the condition of our hearts and the state of His church. Recently, I received a powerful prophetic word from the Lord that stirred my spirit and reminded me of the importance of staying vigilant in our walk with Him. This word not only spoke to the state of the church today, but it also highlighted the battle between truth and deception, urging us to stay rooted in God’s sovereignty and not be swayed by the enemy’s lies. As I share this word, I pray that it will resonate with you and encourage you to reflect on where you stand in your relationship with God and His kingdom.

Repent, for the Morning Breaks: A Prophetic Word for the Church

No man or woman comes to the Father except through Me! No book contains the WORD of the Lord except the very one I breathed the life of the Father into—the Holy Bible. I do work through my children to speak life and to be helpmates for each other. Prophesy is alive and well, including all the gifts of the Spirit and the fruits of the Spirit. However, the enemy seeks to destroy the church. Look into your midst! Sweep around your own house and your own temple.

The enemy has equipped so-called charismatic people to infiltrate the church and bring it to ruin. If the enemy sows his seeds of deceit, he believes he can nullify the word of my Father. However, I saw to it with my sacrifice that the words of ELOHIM live forever, and grow and flourish, and will not go out void. The very words the Father has spoken over your congregations and your children will be planted and will grow. Although your obedience and surrender to Me determine to what extent the seeds shall flourish, the very words I speak in My WORD are the very words of your LIBERATION!! Your enemy must submit to the words I say and have said because they are the very words I hear my Father say.

Remember, as I have told you before through your sister, sometimes the seeds don’t cooperate because they have surrendered their authority to the enemy without having the knowledge of what they do. On the other hand, some of your people blatantly turn over their lives to the enemy and his schemes. Don’t forget the breath of life is a gift. I determine when to give you breath and when to take that breath away. Don’t confuse your authority with idolatry, for there will be no other gods before me, including your vain worship of self.

Repent and return to truth. The time is short. Time is so short that I see the hues of pink and blue on the horizon of MORN. When the new day dawns, I will come to you on the CLOUDS. Sadly, there will barely be hope for anyone left behind, and you who call Me Lord, yet have hate in your heart and sin in your lives, will not rise to meet me in the sky. A rebellious heart is one of a double mind. Call her fake all you want because I see you and hear you every time you say it. Surely, I tell you these are my thoughts, and I shall not be mocked. When My back is turned from you, you will remain on earth with all deadly weapons at the enemy’s disposal. You will plead for mercy, yet on that day, none will come.

Turn now. Repent now. Accept My offer now because the morning has almost broken through the night. I call your name, yet do you not hear! I call your name: will you not listen? The morning breaks!

This is a very powerful word that the Lord has given me, and I see how it relates to both personal reflection and a strong message to the Body of Christ. Let’s break it down into key components and add supporting scripture to emphasize the themes of God’s sovereignty, the danger of false teachings, and the power of repentance:

The Sovereignty of God Over Breath and Life

  • John 14:6 (NIV)Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
This verse emphasizes that Jesus is the only way to salvation. The breath of life is in His hands, and He alone has the power to give or take it.
  • Genesis 2:7 (NIV)“Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”
God is the giver of life. He has authority over the breath that sustains us, and He chooses when we enter and leave this world.

The Power of God’s Word and Fruitlessness

  • Isaiah 55:11 (NIV)“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
God’s word is powerful, and it will never return void. It will accomplish His purposes, and when spoken with obedience, it will bear fruit.
  • Matthew 7:19 (NIV)“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
This warning about fruitlessness is serious. If we, as followers of Christ, do not bear the fruit of righteousness and obedience, we are subject to judgment.

The Dangers of False Teachings and Idolatry

  • 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (NIV)“For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”
This scripture reveals the danger of false teachings and the need to be vigilant. The enemy is working to infiltrate the church and cause division.
  • Exodus 20:3 (NIV)“You shall have no other gods before me.”
The Lord warns us about idolatry and turning to anything or anyone else before Him. We must be cautious not to elevate ourselves or false ideologies above God’s truth.

A Call to Repentance and Obedience

  • Revelation 3:19 (NIV)“Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.”
God’s love calls us to repentance. When we go astray, His discipline is meant for our good, and He lovingly calls us back into alignment with Him.
  • James 4:7-8 (NIV)“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
This scripture encourages us to repent and submit fully to God, resisting the enemy and drawing closer to Him.

Understanding God’s Sovereignty and the Urgency of Repentance

  1. James 4:4 (KJV)“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
    • This verse reminds us of the danger of being double-minded and trying to straddle the line between God’s kingdom and the world. Friendship with the world equates to enmity with God. Our hearts must be fully devoted to Him, avoiding compromise and aligning our lives with His truth.
  2. James 1:8 (KJV)“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
    • Double-mindedness is a key theme in this word. A divided heart leads to instability in all areas of life. To be fully devoted to Christ, we must surrender our minds and hearts to Him, refusing to be swayed by the temptations of the world.
  3. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 (NIV)“Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.”
    • This passage speaks to the coming rebellion and the rise of deception in the last days. We are urged to stay vigilant, to remain steadfast in our faith, and to discern the truth from the lies of the enemy.
  4. John 10:10 (NIV)“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
    • Jesus is clear about the intentions of the enemy. He comes to destroy, but Jesus came to give us life in abundance. It is vital that we reject the lies of the enemy and embrace the fullness of life that Jesus offers.
  5. Isaiah 55:10-11 (NIV)“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
    • God’s word is powerful and will accomplish His will. Even when the enemy seeks to undermine it, God’s word will not return void. His promises are sure, and His purpose will always be fulfilled, despite opposition.
  6. Romans 8:28 (NIV)“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
    • No matter how the enemy may try to deceive us or lead us astray, God is working all things together for our good. His sovereignty is unshaken, and He will continue to guide us according to His purpose.
  7. Psalm 51:10 (NIV)“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
    • Repentance is the key to returning to God. When our hearts are corrupted, we must seek God’s forgiveness and ask Him to purify our hearts and renew our spirits. This is an essential step in maintaining a strong relationship with God.

Reflection on the Scriptures

This prophetic word reminds us of the importance of staying true to God’s word and living with a sincere heart toward Him. As we walk through this life, we must stay vigilant in our obedience to Him, choosing His truth over the deceit of the enemy. God has given us the breath of life and authority in Christ, but we must always remember that we are not our own. Our actions and decisions must align with His will, not our own selfish desires. As we examine our hearts and lives, we must ensure that we are fully devoted to Him and not swayed by the world. Double-mindedness leads to instability, and the enemy uses deception to undermine our relationship with God. But God is faithful, and His word will accomplish all that He desires. Let us repent, turn away from the world, and walk in His truth.

Application: Living in Readiness for the Morning

1. Reflect on Your Heart’s Alignment
Take time to examine your heart. Are there areas where rebellion, double-mindedness, or worldly distractions have taken root? Confess these to God and ask for His guidance to walk in truth and purity.

2. Dive Into the Word
Anchor yourself in Scripture daily. Let the living Word of God renew your mind and align your heart with His will. Passages like James 4:4, Matthew 6:33, and Revelation 22:12 can serve as starting points for deeper reflection.

3. Cultivate Humility and Repentance
Approach God with humility, recognizing that His mercy is a gift. Regularly seek His forgiveness and guidance, turning away from sin and towards His righteousness.

4. Embrace the Hope of His Return
Live with an eternal perspective. Remember the promise of Jesus’ return and allow it to shape how you interact with others, manage your time, and align your priorities with the Kingdom of God.

5. Share the Message
Encourage others to heed the call of repentance and readiness. Share the truth of God’s sovereignty and love with grace, inviting them to experience His transformation.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Spiritual Readiness:
If Jesus returned tomorrow, would your heart be prepared to meet Him? What steps can you take today to align yourself more fully with His will?
  2. Obedience and Surrender:
Are there areas of your life where you have resisted surrendering to God’s authority? How can you begin to trust Him in those areas?
  3. Guarding Your Heart:
Are there relationships or influences in your life that might lead you away from God? How can you protect your heart and stay rooted in His truth?
  4. Sharing the Truth:
Who in your life needs to hear the message of God’s sovereignty, love, and the urgency of repentance? How can you approach them with grace and compassion?
  5. Understanding Mercy and Grace:
Reflect on the mercy and grace God has shown you. How does this knowledge shape your relationship with Him and your interactions with others?

Prayer

Father, we come before You with hearts of repentance. We acknowledge that at times we have allowed the enemy to infiltrate our thoughts and actions. We ask for Your forgiveness and for the strength to turn back to You in full surrender. Thank You for the breath of life that You have given us. We pray that Your word would be planted deeply in our hearts, and that we would bear much fruit for Your Kingdom. Help us to stay faithful, to reject the lies of the enemy, and to keep our eyes fixed on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
