I’d Rather Have Jesus

I would rather carry the name of Jesus than any worldly title.
I would rather sing His praises endlessly, nonstop.
I would rather contemplate His majesty than think of anything else.
I would rather thank Him for favor and abundance than ever complain.

To bask in His presence is to truly live.
To love His companionship is to walk in victory.
To spend time with Him is never wasted.

Lord, help me not waste a single minute. Lord, build my life upon You.
You are my joy. My portion. My everything. The only reason I breathe.

This poem was inspired by my worship this morning, and when I cannot express myself any other way, a poem springs forth so quietly and so true. I hope you all have a blessed Thursday with moments of wonderous worship to the King of Kings!
