A prophetic word from the Lord Jesus on 8.5.25—
I was so overwhelmed after writing it down that I had to go home and rest. Whoever has reached the point of desperation for this word of knowledge suffers greatly! Will you not yield to Him today?
by Jennifer Greene-Sullivan
Titus 3:4-5
“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”
Are you desperate enough yet?
Are you prepared to glean from only ME?
Are you ready to be taught by only ME?
Are you ready to PLEASE only—ME?
Are you ready to be isolated from everything and everyone but ME?
To hear My voice and to obey My voice is to be with ONLY Me.
Are you ready to accept healing from ME and not man?
Jennifer has been desperate for Me so many times. She has been homeless, penniless, jobless, hopeless, cancer-ridden, utterly alone. She has cried out day and night for Me to heal her daughter who was broken and bleeding on the side of a dirt road. She has trusted Me when she had no idea where on earth this child was for more than 70 days. She trusted My voice the week her house burned, and she lost everything—two weeks before her children would want their Christmas presents. She has toted her very pregnant self to and from cancer treatments as her daddy was dying, with pure faith that he would be healed.
My servant has been through so much that she actually believes she has no testimony. But her testimony is her blind belief in ME—no matter what—day in and day out.
I remember the day she gave her life to Me. She was so young, so innocent, and so trusting. She never thought that she couldn’t love Me and believe in Me at just five years old. She walked down that aisle in front of those adults in that church, never thinking for one moment anyone doubted her decision of faith. She entered that baptismal pool with all the excitement and joy of any child I had ever seen.
When she could read and understand My Word better than most adults, it never seemed odd to her. When she prayed for people in her life, she never considered that I didn’t hear her. Until she was older and got distracted by the world, My child was focused on only ME.
Now that she is a mature adult, her life experiences and heartbreaks have stripped her of her own identity—and because of her willing heart, I have rebuilt her identity even stronger than before. And I am so pleased with My daughter.
Just as she types this now, with no hesitation that I am speaking to her and through her, she cries—because it blesses her to know that I am pleased.
How desperate for Me are you?
Do you pant for the WATER?
Do you long to be fed by the Master?
Until you are emptied of you and surrendered to Me, you have not become so desperate as to recognize that you are poor in Spirit.
A contrite heart is a heart the Holy Spirit can seal Himself unto.
Test the spirits? Go ahead. I encourage you to do so.
For I do not contradict Myself.
Nor do I lie to My servant.
Do you see blemishes in My daughter’s eye?
Woe—I urge you to remove the log from yours.
The gifts surely exist—just as I am the Lamb of God.
My Father places the breath in your lungs.
The Holy Spirit fills a yielded, empty vessel.
I pour My gifts and My favor upon whomever I wish,
and I long to lavish each lost sheep with Myself.
If only you would YIELD.
Has your level of desperation finally equaled the level of your need for liberation?

Scripture References for the Prophetic Word
1. Saved by Mercy, Not Merit
Titus 3:4–5
“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”
We don’t earn salvation. It is mercy—poured out. Desperation for Jesus opens the door to that mercy. When all our striving ends, the Spirit begins to move.
2. The Poverty That Pleases God
Matthew 5:3
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Spiritual poverty is not weakness—it’s holy surrender. The Kingdom belongs to those who know they can’t do it without Him.
3. Trust Formed in Fire
2 Corinthians 12:9
“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Our weakest moments become altars for God’s strength. Trust that is forged in fire is trust that stands unshaken.
4. The Soul That Thirsts for God
Psalm 42:1–2
“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?”
Are we desperate for Him like a deer in drought? Hunger for God is the first sign of healing. Thirst is the beginning of revival.
5. What God Will Not Despise
Psalm 51:17
“My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart You, God, will not despise.”
Brokenness isn’t failure—it’s offering. God doesn’t need polish. He wants permission to enter the cracks of our hearts.
6. Examine Yourself First
1 John 4:1
“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God…”
Matthew 7:3–5
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”
Testing the spirits must begin in humility. Discernment without compassion becomes judgment. We must examine ourselves before we examine anyone else.
7. God Chooses the Vessel
1 Corinthians 12:4–7
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them… Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”
We do not determine who God uses. He pours into yielded vessels. Our only call is to be emptied and ready.
8. True Freedom Begins with Surrender
John 8:36
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
Desperation for Jesus leads to true freedom. Nothing else satisfies. No one else can liberate like the Son.
🌿 Devotional Reflection Question
Where in your life are you still trying to save yourself instead of surrendering to the mercy of the Savior?
Journaling Prompt
Write about a time when you felt truly desperate for God.
- What drove you to that moment?
- How did He meet you there?
- What did you learn about your need for Him that you hadn’t seen before?
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas you still hold onto out of fear or pride. Write a prayer of surrender in response.
Closing Prayer
“Jesus, I am done trying to fix myself. I am poor in spirit, desperate for Your water, and hungry for the Bread of Life. I yield. I long to be a vessel—empty of pride, full of You. Holy Spirit, seal Yourself to my contrite heart. I trust that You don’t need my perfection—just my permission. Fill me. Free me. Lead me. Amen.”
For the Unbeliever
This word is for you! He sees you, and He knows you. Jesus is not just my God–He is ultimately yours and gave His life to save you and to bring you RESTORATION. You don’t have to rely on your own strength for salvation or for the addiction you’re struggling with because He came to liberate the captives and set them free, and liberation is deliverance. Accept His offer to change your EVERYTHING! Stop and pray right now:
Father, your WORD tells me that I can be saved when I confess that Jesus is my Savior. I know Jesus died to save me from my sins. He was raised again and lives so that I am a new creation. Father, from this minute forward, I am a new creation in Jesus. AMEN
