Today is the 70th Day
by Jennifer Greene-Sullivan
On July 4th, the Lord gave me a word about preparation:
“I will give you a double portion of My anointing for the next 70 days. I hold the enemy back for 70 days. Be the light in a dark place and hold it until I get there.”
Today is that 70th day.
Looking Back
I have spent the majority of this day looking back through two prayer journals and even my iPhone notes, revisiting the messages, dreams, and visions the Lord has given me during this season. I have experienced His clear voice, an open vision, and several prophetic dreams.
Each night, I have awakened mid-conversation with Him. He has shown me enemies, plots, people, places, and purposes. He has awakened me to intercede for others in the middle of the night, no matter the day or hour.
For seventy days, He has been pouring out His revelation. I have been researching, reading, and learning more than I could write down. In the last three weeks, I have not written for pleasure or for creative purposes because the Lord has had me totally focused on Him ALONE.
The Questions He Asks
Over the past month, the Lord has asked me questions that pierce the heart:
- Is your lamp full of oil?
- Is your wick trimmed?
- Are you diligent to wait for Me past midnight?
- Are you waiting past midnight for the Lamb?
Through these questions, He has taught me about the annunciation, the cross, the wedding feast, and the second coming. The Holy Spirit has walked me through allegory and symbolism—not just figurative, but literal truth.
A New Season

This weekend, just a week before Rosh Hashanah, the Lord revealed that the season WILL CHANGE. He called it “the burning time.” While I continue to pray against the tragic events forthcoming, I know that He has made it evident:
Now is the time for each of us to come to the end of ourselves so we can come to the beginning of truly knowing Jesus. Not head knowledge. Not mere words. Because we must have heart reformation that changes how we live, breathe, and surrender to Him.
The Call
So I ask you the same questions He asked me:
✨ Is your lamp full of oil?
✨ Is your wick trimmed?
✨ Are you ready to wait past midnight for the Bridegroom?
The Lord is calling us to surrender, to submit to His authority in our lives, and to prepare our hearts for His return.

I am going to link the first post I mentioned above from July 4, 2025. Those of you with ears to hear and eyes to hear what the Lord has to say to the churches.
In the early hours of September 11th, the Lord woke me and spoke a simple but piercing reminder. It was not just for me—it is for all of us who are waiting, watching, and preparing our hearts for His return. He gave me these lines at 3:03 am:
Be careful little ears what you hear
Be careful little ears what you know
Be careful little eyes what you see
Be careful little eyes who watches ME
The Lord is calling us to guard our senses, our attention, and our hearts. What we take in (to our minds, our hearts, and our bodies) shapes our faith. What we fix our eyes on reveals who we truly follow. As we enter this new season, may we be found faithful—lamps full of oil, wicks trimmed, hearts surrendered—living as children of light until He comes.
Scriptures to Study and to Reference
Scriptures on Waiting, Oil, and Readiness

- Matthew 25:1–13 (The Parable of the Ten Virgins)
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” (v. 13)
(Lamp full of oil, waiting past midnight for the Bridegroom) - Luke 12:35–36
“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him.”
Scriptures on the Double Portion & Anointing
- 2 Kings 2:9
“Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.
(Elisha’s request from Elijah—ties to the “double portion” word He gave you on July 4th) - Joel 2:28–29
“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.”
Scriptures on Testing, Burning, and Refining
- Malachi 3:2–3
“For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver.” - 1 Peter 1:6–7
“These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
Scriptures on Surrender and Knowing Him
- Philippians 3:8–10
“I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord… I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings.” - Romans 12:1–2
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Challenge
This week, examine your lamp. Ask yourself the same questions the Lord asked me:
- Is my lamp full of oil?
- Is my wick trimmed?
- Am I willing to wait past midnight for the Bridegroom?
Be intentional about what your ears hear and what your eyes see. Guard your heart, and let your life reflect a deep knowing of Jesus—not just in thought, but in action.
Prayer
Father,
I surrender my heart, my ears, and my eyes to You. Trim my wick and fill my lamp with Your oil, that I may shine as a light in the darkness. Help me to wait faithfully, even past midnight, with eyes fixed on Jesus. Refine me, purify me, and prepare me for Your return. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
