✨ Adapting Seeking Jesus Everyday for Teen Boys: A Journey in Faith 🙏
As I reflect on the incredible journey of writing Seeking Jesus Everyday, I’ve come to realize just how much this devotional can grow and evolve—just like our relationship with Christ. 🙌 Initially written for teen girls, Seeking Jesus Everyday focuses on building a strong identity in Christ, making decisions with God’s wisdom, and nurturing Christlike relationships. However, as I prayed and thought about how this message applies universally, it became clear that the young men in our lives also need this foundation. 🧗♂️
So, I began the exciting process of converting this devotional into one that speaks to teen boys. I believe it’s crucial that both young women and men understand their identity in Christ. 🌿 Society bombards teenagers with messages that push them away from their God-given purpose. While my devotional for girls seeks to affirm their worth and encourage their walk with Jesus, the boys’ version will meet them right where they are—helping them to navigate challenges specific to their journey. 🚀
Why Adapt for Teen Boys? 🤔
Teen boys face their own unique set of challenges when it comes to identity, decision-making, and building Christlike relationships. 🛤️ I realized that the core principles of Seeking Jesus Everyday can resonate deeply with them if framed in a way that speaks directly to their experiences. The idea is to help them see that true strength is found in relying on Jesus 💪 and that being a follower of Christ is the boldest, most courageous thing they can do. 🦁
What Will Be Different? 🔄
While the boys’ devotional will hold true to the same foundational principles—identity, wisdom, and relationships—the examples, tone, and stories will shift to be more relatable for them. 🏈 I’ve also chosen to keep the original fonts and layout consistent, as I felt they offered a grounded, approachable look that works well across both versions. 🖋️
A Message for Every Young Man 🙋♂️
I want the teen boys reading Seeking Jesus Everyday to feel encouraged and confident as they seek out who they are in Christ. 💡 The world will tell them to chase status, wealth, and power, but Jesus calls them to something greater: a life defined by faith, humility, and love. 💙 This devotional will guide them on that journey, helping them navigate the pressures of life with God’s wisdom at the forefront. 🛤️
I’m beyond excited to share this new version with the young men who are searching for their purpose in Christ! Stay tuned for updates! 🚀
