“Purposeful Day” Edits

Edits and Formatting on Canva

This morning is quite loud with Liam( my four year old) playing and with the girls (four teenagers) talking. Blippi blares on the TV as he visits the Phoenix Aquarium. Festus, our Jack Russel, seems more rambunctious, but I remain focused on finishing the edits and the formatting of “Purposeful Day” before bed this evening. I am blessed to have so much noise and happiness in my home because one day these precious babies will have grown and moved to bigger and better pastures.

I am so proud of this book, and I can see God’s plan and purpose in my life as this project is brought to fruition in 2021.  The copy of the book needs a little tweaking this morning, and I finally found a font that I thought accentuated the rocky landscape of Sammy and Sarah’s abode. Sophia, my sixteen year old, mentioned that she didn’t like the yellow border on each page, so I may just keep it for the E-book and remove it from all pages except the title page for the paperback version.  Here is the dedication for this book:

Here is to productivity on a cold, winter’s day! The noise and the indoor ruckus won’t get to me. Go, Go, Go!

I am an English teacher, mother, and wife, but I love to write. I feel that I am blessed to be able to use my talent to write about my children's books, poems, short fiction, and parenting. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about my experiences with beginning a writing career while focusing on my children and my job. I look forward to comments and to hear from my readers!
