I find that words flee from me right now. I can barely fathom how a little story that I wrote in 2014 while teaching juniors the meaning of allegory has found its way to TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network).
I shared the story with them as an illustration for allegory so that we could analyze it in class. Then, “Purposeful Day” sat alone inside a Note in my old iPhone 6 for 7 years.
It was by coincidence or providence that I remembered that story the week of Thanksgiving 2020, and I hoped it would still be inside my Notes. I sent it as an attachment, tweaked the copy, and searched for an illustrator for Sarah and Sammy Stone.
I held my breath as I stepped out on faith to hire Joshua Wichterich as my illustrator, and I truly know that his blessing me with his talent has brought FAVOR to this project. I am also very thankful for Rhett Harwell, my commission agent with Trinity Publishing for working with me and supporting me in this process. I will conclude this post with this scripture:
