“Esmerelda’s Surprise” Mock Up

Today hasn’t been the most productive writing day. However, Wesley Helms my 2014 STAR student and illustrator has raised my mood with another page for “Esmerelda’s Surprise.”

Right now, we have two pages, but Wesley says we are still on track for a March release of “Esmerelda’s Surprise.” She makes my heart sing, especially since she was my first children’s book character.

Anya’s childhood mischievousness and brilliant imagination inspired this character’s antics. Don’t tell my oldest daughter, but Esmerelda looks like her too! I hope my readers will love her as much as I do!!

I am an English teacher, mother, and wife, but I love to write. I feel that I am blessed to be able to use my talent to write about my children's books, poems, short fiction, and parenting. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about my experiences with beginning a writing career while focusing on my children and my job. I look forward to comments and to hear from my readers!
