🚜✨ DIRT ROAD RASCALS UPDATE

🚜✨ I LOVE THIS STORY ✨🚜

by Jennifer Greene-Sullivan

Y’all, this story is turning into something so special. I’ve been working hard on the manuscript, and I thought it was time to give you a little sneak peek into the first six chapters of this Southern sibling adventure!

Dottie Rose and Grady

📚 Here’s what’s happened so far:

Chapter 1: Trouble on the Backroads
Dottie Rose Greene (softball star and big sister) and her little brother Grady (fishing pole fanatic) are headed to a travel ball tournament… until a blown tire and a wrong turn send the whole family off course.

Chapter 2: Lost Like a Goose in a Hailstorm
While Mama and Daddy are distracted, Dottie and Grady wander off down a trail. What starts as innocent exploring turns into “uh-oh, where are we?” real quick.

Chapter 3: Country Clever and Creek-Wide Trouble
Stuck in the woods, low on snacks and signal, the kids have to use their wits—and what little supplies they have—to stay calm and stick together.

Chapter 4: Mama’s Worry and Daddy’s Boots
Back at the car, Mama is in full panic mode. Daddy tries to keep her calm as they search the roadside, calling into the trees.

Chapter 5: A Clue Among the Pines
Just when things feel hopeless, Mama finds Dottie’s game-day bracelet and a set of cleat prints near a trail—proof the kids were together and thinking smart.

Chapter 6: Sweet Tea and Slingshots

Dottie and Grady meet Lark and her grandpa—friendly locals who offer them sweet tea, a map, and a little wisdom about how sometimes getting lost leads you right where you’re meant to be.

🌲 SNEAK PEEK LINE from Chapter 7 (coming soon):
“That ain’t no stick,” Daddy said low. “Don’t move.”
(👀 Let’s just say… Georgia woods hold more than deer trails!)

This is shaping up to be the perfect first–second grade read with Southern charm, a little danger, and a whole lot of sibling love. 💛

Stay tuned—more mischief is on the way!
