Every Problem Has a Solution🌱

How do you solve the problem of answering questions about the Bible, Jesus, salvation, and life as a follower of Christ when you are a new believer? Search for the answer in scripture. Seek out a good Bible teacher. What if you’re young and don’t communicate well? What is you’re mature, yet you don’t know where to start? I guess the Holy Spirit helps me with a new task for this year:

Write a book with the purpose of preparing disciples. So, I set a course for writing just that!! Thank you, Holy Spirit for prompting me today in the car rider line. It must be my new secret place (right in the middle of primary school parents). What’s this book going to be like?

🌱 New Believer’s Guidebook: Finding Jesus Through God’s Word🌱

Framed by the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13, Mark 4, Luke 8)
By Jennifer Greene-Sullivan

Over the last year, I’ve written devotionals, children’s books, poetry, and even dipped into two works of fiction—but lately, God has been tugging on my heart to return to the roots of it all–to create something simple, scripturally rich, and deeply foundational for those who are just beginning their walk with Jesus.

This guidebook will be a gentle companion for those who have recently said yes to Jesus or are longing to start fresh. It’s not a textbook or a checklist—it’s a heart-to-heart through Scripture, prayer, and reflection. My prayer is that this book helps people not just know about Jesus—but truly find Him in the pages of His Word and the stillness of their own hearts.

What makes this guide unique?
It’s framed by the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13, Mark 4, Luke 8)—because I believe every believer starts as freshly sown seed. Some of us have had rocky soil. Some have felt choked out by life’s worries, but with love, grace, and good soil, the Word of God can take root—and change everything.

Each chapter will walk through questions like:

  • What does it mean to be saved?
  • How do I pray?
  • Who is the Holy Spirit?
  • What’s the difference between conviction and condemnation?
  • How do I follow Jesus in hard times?

I’m writing it with first-time believers in mind—but also for the ones who need a restart, a reminder, or a refreshing of their faith. If that’s you, welcome. You’re not alone.

Please pray with me as this project unfolds. I believe it will be a tool for both personal growth and discipleship—and I am beyond honored to get to write it.

More soon. Until then, keep tending the soil.

🙏 Prayer Over This Project

For the New Believer’s Guidebook: Finding Jesus Through God’s Word

Dear Father, You know I love You—and You know that my heart aches for the lost, the lonely, and the hungry. I come to You now, not just as a writer, but as Your servant and daughter, longing to create something that brings people closer to You. Lord, I ask that You walk with me through every step and every page of this project. Help me to communicate clearly and organize faithfully so that this guide becomes the anointed companion Your powerful Word deserves. You’ve whispered to me time and time again that Your Word is alive—breathing and multiplying within the hearts of those who believe. I want to come into full agreement with that truth, so that this book becomes a place of origin for new believers. A launching point. A holy invitation to dive deeper into Your Word and, ultimately, into Your very heart. Father, have Your way with this book. Touch every mind and every heart that opens its pages. May each word draw them not to me, but to You. You have my “yes” every time my fingers touch the keyboard. Thank You for the promises You’ve made and the purpose You’ve planted. I plead the blood of Jesus over every page, over every word, and over every reader You send. [To the ones who troll my blog and my posts looking a noose to wrap around my neck to silence my voice–the very LION OF JUDAH stands over me and covers me with His love and His glory. I was born for a time such as this, and I will not stop unless the One who gives me breath asks me to stop.] To God be the glory!! Yes and AMEN!! Thank You, Father.
Amen.
