I gladly receive from you, Lord
A word gathered from June 30th to July 4th.
by Jennifer Greene-Sullivan
On the evening of June 30, 2025, my son Liam and I were heading home after a long, joy-filled day at our tiny house office. We had been singing and worshipping together in the truck — one of those simple, sacred moments you want to tuck into your heart and never forget. As we left Roddy, I caught a glimpse of something in the sky toward Chester — a rainbow stretching across the horizon.

I pulled over at Ms. Eva’s house, where I had a clear view of Ms. May Roy’s back field — the same field my daddy used to farm when I was a little girl. That patch of land already holds so much history, but what I saw next made me stop and breathe in awe.
There in the dark blue evening sky, a double rainbow arched with breathtaking clarity — one vibrant and bold, the other gently shimmering beneath it like a whispered promise.
As I raised my phone to take a picture, I heard the Lord say, “Here is My double portion for you!” Without hesitation, I responded aloud, “A double portion, Lord? I receive it.”
We drove on, and in my spirit, I just knew I would see the full rainbow once we reached home. Sure enough, as we crested the hill and our family pond came into view, there it was — a brilliant arc stretching over my daddy’s place. I got out and captured the image, overwhelmed with gratitude. It wasn’t just beautiful; it was holy.

I knew the Lord wasn’t just showing me a rainbow. He was marking a moment — a promise that His blessings would not be small or subtle, but double. Not just of what He can do — but a double portion of Himself.
Isaiah 61:7
Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion,
and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.
The July 4th Word: “You Don’t Have to Be Angry in Battle”
Just a few days later, on Friday, July 4th, while in worship, I felt the Lord speak directly and prophetically to my spirit again:
“You don’t have to be angry in battle,
for I will hold the enemy back for the next 70 days.
Gather your armor and receive a double portion from Me.
Build up and not tear down.
Plant and not grow weary.
Urge My people to cleave into Me for the next 70 days.”
This wasn’t just for me — this was a word for the Body.
A Seventy-Day Invitation
From July 4th, counting seventy days ahead, lands us on September 12th. That’s just a little over a week before Rosh Hashanah (September 22–24), the Jewish New Year — a time of reflection, renewal, and resetting spiritually.

I believe the Lord is inviting His people into a set-apart season:
- A time to cleave to Him like never before.
- A time to gather our armor (Ephesians 6) — not in fear or anxiety, but with resolve.
- A time to build up, not tear down.
- A time to plant, even if we’re tired — for we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
“Lord, I Don’t Have a Platform…”
When I first received this word, I remember saying, “Lord, I don’t have a platform.”
And just as quickly, I heard Him reply with firm gentleness:
“You have a big mouth. Start using it.”
This wasn’t an insult. It was a commission.
If the Lord has given us a message, it doesn’t matter the size of our stage — only the size of our obedience.
So, here I am — writing, declaring, and inviting you to join me in this 70-day journey of intentional cleaving, praying, planting, and preparing for the double portion the Lord is ready to release.
The Disarming of Gog: A Prophetic Foreshadowing
As I sat with the weight of this word, the Lord led me to Ezekiel 38–39, the prophetic vision of the disarming and defeat of Gog — a symbolic enemy of God’s people.
In those chapters, God Himself intervenes. He causes confusion. He disrupts the plans of the enemy. And He reminds His people: “I will make My holy name known… and the nations shall know that I am the Lord.”
There is a disarming coming.
A divine restraining of the enemy’s hand.
But we must be spiritually awake, suited up, and cleaving to the Source of our strength.
A Call to You
If you’re reading this, I believe you’re being called to:
- Armor up — Not in fear, but in faith (Ephesians 6).
- Cleave to Jesus — Not casually, but fiercely.
- Speak life — Build up, plant, and bless in this season.
- Stay the course — The double portion is not a prosperity cliché. It’s the increase of Him in us, through us, and around us.
I don’t know what the next 70 days may hold — but I do know WHO holds them.
So I invite you:
Mark your calendar.
Wake up early.
Open your Bible.
Pray like never before.
Let Him whisper promises in the sky and fire in your spirit.
The countdown has begun.
Day 70 is coming. So is the rain. So is the harvest. So is the King.

🙏 Closing Prayer for the 70-Day Journey
Father God,
Thank You for speaking, for the hearing of Your Word, for showing Your promises in the sky, and for reminding me that You are still moving in the hearts of Your people. I receive the invitation to cleave to You with everything I have. Help me armor up in truth, righteousness, peace, and faith — not out of fear, but because I believe You are preparing me for more.
Lord, I accept Your double portion — more of Your Spirit, more of Your presence, more of Your direction. Let me not grow weary as I plant, build, pray, and speak life.
Let Your name be glorified over these 70 days and beyond.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
