Today marks my 400th blog post — and I can hardly believe it.
When I started writing more regularly from my tiny house office at the shop, I had no idea just how many words would pour out of me. In one year, I’ve written 200 new blog posts, each one stitched with prayer, passion, and purpose. Some were joyful. Some raw. All were part of this holy rhythm of writing that has become not just a calling, but an offering.
The blog isn’t the only space where God has met me with fresh words. Since June of 2024, I’ve also:
✨ Written and published two teen devotionals
✨ Published two children’s books
✨ Written three more children’s books (waiting patiently to be released into the world)
✨ Drafted six chapters of a young adult novel (and it’s still whispering to me)
I’ve never been more convinced that worship unlocks creativity. This past week, as I sat in adoration of Jesus, I found myself sketching Chuck the Chick with my son and writing a story I didn’t expect — one for babies and toddlers. It was born out of praise. Out of that deep, wide kind of love for Jesus that fills a writer’s well to overflowing.
The truth is: I don’t write because I have to do it. I write because the Lord has allowed me to create and to worship Him this way.
Because I must respond to the beauty of what God is doing in my life.
Because He gave me a voice — and I’m learning how to use it.
So here’s to the next 400. May every word I write continue to reflect His goodness.
