After weeks of debating, tweaking, polling, and second-guessing, the final cover for Stella Star’s Chicken Farm is officially here! 🎉 And let me tell you—it feels amazing to have made the final decision. 😅
The Journey to the Perfect Cover 🖌️🎨
From the beginning, I knew that this cover needed to truly capture the heart of Stella’s story—her love for her farm, her journey of stewardship, and, of course, the beloved Skittles! However, finding the right balance of illustration, text placement, and overall design was way harder than I expected. 😅
I found myself stuck in a loop of trying different fonts, layouts, and placements—never quite feeling like it was just right. I even ran multiple polls to gather feedback from you all (which I truly appreciated!) and still felt torn between options.

Realizing that I needed a fresh perspective, I reached out to Joshua Wichterich, the incredibly talented illustrator of Stella Star’s Chicken Farm. He took my ideas, my struggles, and all of the feedback I had received, and he brought it all together beautifully. The final cover is everything I wanted it to be—and more! Joshua, thank you for helping me finally land on the one. Your talent and patience are truly a gift!
