If only Charlie could be quiet for three more months. (hahaha)

It’s official!
The First Grade Chatterbox is now in the hands of the incredibly talented Joshua Wichterich, who will be illustrating the book from cover to cover. 🖍️📚
Our contract has been signed and dated, and we are officially in production!
This story holds a deeply personal place in my heart. It’s more than just a book about a little boy who talks too much—it’s about growth, grace, and learning to truly listen.
What makes it even more special?
My son Liam has helped me write this story throughout his entire second grade year. He’s poured out ideas, laughed through scenes with me, and helped shape the character of Charlie—the Chatterbox—into someone so real and lovable. He has helped me shape this character because Liam has had to seriously learn to listen this school year as well as when to keep his mouth SHUT. 🖍️📚

As a writer, there’s nothing more humbling or joyful than watching your words come to life through the hands of a gifted illustrator. And with Joshua Wichterich on board, I know these characters will leap off the page in the most beautiful and authentic way.
We cannot wait to share this journey with you.
Stay tuned for sneak peeks, illustration reveals, and updates on release day as The First Grade Chatterbox finds its way into the hearts of young readers everywhere.
The story is no longer just on the page.
It’s becoming something you can see—and soon, something you can hold.
