Opening the Box: The First Grade Chatterbox

by Jennifer Greene-Sullivan

The Big Moment
There are few feelings more exciting as an author than opening a box filled with your very own books. Today, I had the joy of unboxing The First Grade Chatterbox, and I couldn’t stop smiling! 📦💬 Seeing the story in print—the character Chatterbox, the cover, the pages—is a dream come true.

I was listening to Forest Frank’s Lemonade on Alexa.

Why I Wrote It
As a former teacher, I’ve met many “chatterboxes” over the years—kids with so much energy, personality, and words to share. Sometimes those words get them into trouble, but often, they’re the spark that lights up the classroom. This story celebrates those children while gently teaching about listening, kindness, and the power of our words.

Where to Find the Book
The First Grade Chatterbox officially releases on Monday, September 15, 2025. The first batch of books is headed straight to:

📍 Jubilee Junction
132 Main Street
Eastman, GA

I’m so grateful that this local shop is helping share the story with the community. Thank you, Jessica, at the Jubilee Junction. The book is also available on Amazon as a paperback and an e-book.

If you’re near Eastman, I’d love for you to stop by Jubilee Junction on Monday and pick up a copy. If you’ve got a chatterbox at home, in your classroom, or in your family, this book is for them! 💬❤️

Stay tuned—I’ll be sharing more sneak peeks, and today’s unboxing video will give you the very first look at the book in hand!

Y’all, I love this book! Thank you, Lord, for helping me turn lemons to lemonade on this one. 🙂

I am an English teacher, mother, and wife, but I love to write. I feel that I am blessed to be able to use my talent to write about my children's books, poems, short fiction, and parenting. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about my experiences with beginning a writing career while focusing on my children and my job. I look forward to comments and to hear from my readers!
