I am blessed to have been raised and to have graduated from Dodge County Class of ’96 in Eastman, Georgia!
by Jennifer Greene-Sullivan
Today was one of those days that fills your soul from the inside out.

This morning, I had the absolute joy of visiting Dodge County Primary School, where I got to read Stella Star’s Chicken Farm to the precious students in Mrs. Yawn, Mrs. Anderson, and Mrs. Rogers’ classes. Let me tell you—those seven- and eight-year-olds were full of life, curiosity, and love. They asked the sweetest questions, not only about the story but about the process of writing and publishing a book.
Watching their little faces light up as they met Stella and Skittles reminded me why I do this.
Why I write.
Why I say yes to school visits.
Why I believe that words—especially ones rooted in kindness, purpose, and faith—matter.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to my friend Mrs. Dana Yawn for inviting me into her classroom today. It was a true honor to share a little piece of my heart with your students.

After I left the school, I stopped by The Frozen Bean to order a birthday coffee and parfait for one of my besties. While I waited, I noticed another sweet blessing unfolding right in front of me—a friend of mine was sitting at a table near the door, leading a small group Bible study with a few ladies gathered close, Bibles open, eyes shining.
She didn’t see me—I didn’t want to interrupt.
But I watched. And I smiled.
Because today, in my own home county, I was allowed to read a Christian children’s book … and I witnessed a group of women digging into God’s Word in the middle of a coffee shop.
This is the goodness of God.
Not loud. Not flashy.
Just quiet favor.
Just faithful presence.
Just grace in the everyday.
I am one blessed woman.
A wife. A mother. A Christian author.
And today, I got to witness God’s love ripple through my community in ways I’ll never forget.
✨ Application:
God’s presence is not reserved for pulpits or platforms—it’s found in storytime circles, coffee shop corners, and conversations with little ones who are wide-eyed and listening.
Today reminded me that when we walk faithfully in our calling—no matter how big or small it seems—He shows up. And sometimes, His favor is felt most deeply in the quiet, everyday yes.
💡 Challenge:
This week, look for God in the ordinary places:
- A classroom full of questions
- A café table filled with truth
- A task that feels small but carries eternal weight
Ask Him: “Lord, where are You already at work around me? And how can I join in?”
And then—be bold enough to step in, even if it’s just with a smile, a word, or a story.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, thank You for the sweet moments that remind me You are near. Thank You for classrooms that welcome truth, for coffee shop corners that echo with Your Word, and for opportunities to use my gifts for Your glory. Help me to recognize Your presence in the everyday, to say yes to the callings You’ve placed on my life, and to steward each opportunity with joy, humility, and faith. May my life be a living reflection of Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
