Exciting Update on The Hidden Cove!

I am beyond thrilled to share an exciting update on The Hidden Cove! My incredibly talented illustrator, Sydney Kinsey, has been hard at work bringing Marvin the Manatee to life through her beautiful pencil sketches. As of now, she has completed up to page 12, and every time I receive an update from her, I fall more in love with this story!

A Sneak Peek into Marvin’s World

Marvin the Manatee is a gentle, thoughtful soul who has always felt a little different from the others. While his manatee friends prefer to stay together, Marvin enjoys exploring and discovering the quiet, hidden places of his estuary. These moments of solitude, however, sometimes leave him questioning his purpose. But what Marvin doesn’t realize is that his time alone is actually preparing him for something greater.

Themes of The Hidden Cove

At its heart, The Hidden Cove is about:
✅ Trusting in God’s Plan – Even when we don’t understand our path, God is preparing us for something special.
✅ Finding Purpose in the Waiting – Like Marvin, we sometimes feel lost or unsure, but those quiet seasons shape us for future growth.
✅ Hearing God’s Voice in the Stillness – Just as Marvin listens to the wisdom around him, we, too, must seek God’s gentle whispers in our own lives.

Why This Story is So Special to Me

Writing The Hidden Cove has been such a meaningful journey. Marvin’s story is one that so many of us can relate to—feeling different, wondering where we belong, and learning to trust in something greater than ourselves. The beautiful truth is that we are never truly alone, and every season of life has a purpose.
